Frederique Constant Highlife Automatic COSC Owner Review : Classic, simple and beautiful

A very beautiful watch, aesthetically pleasing, with a white dial featuring a globe that adds interesting depth, blued hands, and the COSC inscription with the word "chronometer" in red, giving it even more character. The integrated bracelet is superb (and comes with a second blue rubber strap). The exposed mechanism behind it is also very attractive, with its copper-colored balance wheel; it's beautiful. At first glance, everything works, aesthetically speaking. However, after a little over a year, and with a more discerning eye for watchmaking, I'm left wanting more. The crown is difficult to wind, and setting it to the correct time is extremely sensitive. If it's not perfectly adjusted, the wrist comfort can sometimes be a bit uncomfortable. The difference between two sizes when adding or removing a link is too significant for proper adjustment. At the price of this new watch (€1995), one could have expected a little more. These are the details that slightly detract from its overall quality, because it's a gem. One piece of advice: try it on before you buy it to see if it fits your wrist well. I have the 39mm version, which is the perfect size, but I'm selling it for another project. Whether secondhand or at a discount, it's a treat worth giving yourself if you're looking for a watch with an integrated bracelet that combines charm and elegance.
