Edma Owner Review : Discreet, classy and harmonious

This is the brand's slogan, and it perfectly represents my watch. EDMA is a small brand founded in 1944 in Saint-Imier in Switzerland, but itself comes from the MOERI and JEANNERET watch factory created in 1892. They are therefore not beginners, and there is a certain know-how. Moreover, enthusiasts are trying to perpetuate this brand today. My EDMA watch is a very pretty dress watch from the 60s, with some original aesthetic attractions. The bezel is grooved in a circular way, but also faceted, which gives a very nice rendering to the light. The nicely worked indexes are all horizontal and bring an unusual style. Otherwise, the gold plating is of quality, the dial is sunrayed, the small second at 6:00 is discreet, and the typography of the numbers is superb. All this makes a watch that I find harmonious. The hand-wound caliber is a classic FE 233-60 with 15 jewels and 18,000 A/h. The precision is very good and the power reserve is 50 hours (more than adequate for its time). It is a dress watch that I like to wear, especially thanks to its bezel that subtly reflects the light and gives it a crazy class (but much more discreet than a fluted bezel). And of course, like any small unknown vintage, an unbeatable price/pleasure ratio!
