The perfect Yema

A small Seiko 5 ref. SNKK11 that's quite nice to wear. Its small diameter case is easy to forget, and the sunburst finish of the navy blue dial darkens almost to black depending on the light. The gold-tone hour markers, hands, and date bezel enhance the watch beautifully.

It's very fun, vibrant, and pleasing to the eye.

A perfect everyday watch, and I think I'm well placed to attest to that, having owned this beauty for over 20 years.
And as incredible as it may seem, the battery has never been changed since I bought it in the early 2000s. So, when Casio tells you the battery will last 10 years, with any luck, it will last over 20. This watch can tell you the time in over 24 cities around the world, in addition to local time, of course. It also has a phone book and allows you to store up to 30 phone numbers. In addition to the three alarms, in case one isn't enough, it has a stopwatch, a countdown timer, and even a luminescent function.
So, I can assure you that this watch is perfect in every way.

The most perfect and complete of watches

This chronograph, which has all the attributes of a high-end chronograph, incredible finishes, a dial full of details and a genuine leather strap Made in France, not to mention its glassbox-style sapphire crystal. If someone told me that this watch cost 5 times more than its price, it wouldn't surprise me. The caliber, a Seagull ST1901, does the job well and makes the watch cost what it does. A watch that I love and that I would recommend.

A guilloché dial, a small seconds hand, an integrated bracelet, and a 60-hour power reserve; what more could you ask for?
And all this for a reasonable price, something the Japanese have mastered.
I find the watch well-balanced, with unbeatable value for money. It's a watch that offers much more than you'd expect.
Personally, I love it; it shows a lot without being too flashy; the balance is perfect.

Citizen tsuyosa small seconds

It was love at first sight with its dial and color, especially the contrasting small seconds subdial. I didn't hesitate for a moment to find a watch retailer who had one in stock. It seems to have been a good intuition, as a few months later it was nominated for "Watch of the Year 2024" for under €500 (Frank without the C).

The guilloché dial, stunning for this price point, demonstrates Citizen's industrial expertise, as well as its commercial prowess. I think Tissot has adopted the same formula with the same success.

In use, it's incredibly comfortable with its very supple mesh bracelet. A special mention goes to the high-quality folding clasp (always in line with the price, of course). Two minor drawbacks:

1. The case attracts dirt/grease/etc., which requires frequent wiping. I should mention, I'm not a perfectionist, but it's quite noticeable here. 2. The crown is very difficult to operate: stiff and too small.

Aside from these two minor flaws, after more than a year, this watch remains one I really enjoy wearing. It's easy to wear and gives that rare feeling of getting much more than the price suggests.



impressive for the price

This Tsuyosa Petite Seconde was a great surprise for me when it came out. A guilloché dial that catches the light, immediate comfort on the wrist, and an excellent power reserve. Citizen has significantly improved access to the crown in this version. All this for a quality/price ratio that commands respect. Citizen proves once again that you can combine style and pleasure without breaking the bank.
