I present to you my Orient Kamasu which is a Japanese automatic diving watch, I chose at the time this pretty watch for the very special color of its dial a pretty mix of green and black and for its original bezel which is green from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock and the rest is in black, Orient is an exclusive subsidiary of the Seiko manufacturer and as I have a huge weakness for Japanese watches I had to have this watch which came out after the mako 2 and I do not regret my purchase. Its diameter is 41.5mm its dial width is 13mm and it indicates 20 atm

This Seiko watch is my second with the Kinetic system. It is a Kinetic quartz movement, the Seiko 5M82 movement without battery having an integrated electricity system, the Kinetic technology draws its energy from the movement of the arm, the crown, located at three o'clock, allows you to set the time and the push button located at 2 o'clock helps to check the power reserve. An example on mine just now I pressed the push button and it scrolled for 20 seconds which tells me that I have autonomy for a month. I really like this Seiko watch because the system is really original and ingenious, plus this watch has a really superb blue dial and it has a nice presence on the wrist, it comes with a steel bracelet but I alternate with a tropical bracelet, I really like Japanese watches and I wear it quite often the dial glass is in Hardlex (reinforced mineral) its diameter is 42.5mm and it is water resistant to 100m, it is not a watch of diving there is no crown aimed.

I chose this watch for several reasons: its price, its original and recognizable look, its diving capabilities and its military heritage. And it meets all the criteria and accompanies me absolutely everywhere! On a daily basis on a nato or in sports activities on its rubber!

The best alternative to the Seiko SKX

I had become interested in this model after reading that it had been used by the divers of the Marina Militare in the 90s.
As for the look, I really like the almond green on the indexes and hands, as well as the little touch of red on the dial. In addition, the mirror finish of the hands and the index rim give a very nice changing look.
It is very comfortable thanks to its rounded case and the position of its crown at 8 o'clock.
Its luminescence is generous and persistent enough to allow me to read the time on my nightstand until morning.
As for the movement, mine (purchased in June 2022) has a stop-seconds and its drift is very good for an automatic watch of this price, around +6 seconds per day on average.
Finally, the bezel, insert, flange and dial are very well aligned, as are the hour and minute hands when it is noon.

My first diving watch, and I don't regret my choice!

My Citizen Promaster is unique. I was looking for a pre-owned tool watch with simple criteria: an alternative to the Seiko SKX, offering similar features.

While browsing Vinted, I stumbled upon this rather unusual beauty. Indeed, as you can see in the photos, the hands, bezel, and dial differ from a classic NY0040. So I began my investigation.

The components come from the Citizen 2300, the previous model. Continuing my research, I learned that this watch was manufactured in September 1996, during a period of transition at Citizen.

I bought it primarily for its dial: it's textured because Citizen was testing several configurations before the model's official release. They ultimately opted for a lacquered dial, which makes this version all the more interesting and rare.

I present to you my Citizen Promaster NY0040-17LE Automatic Watch…I really like this Japanese diving watch, a watch that is solid and that I find aesthetic, it is often compared to the Skx from Seiko, my Citizen Promaster has a diameter of 42mm…and a mineral glass which is the only flaw that I find with a sapphire glass it would have had a perfect score for its price which is 230 euros. I admit that I have a weakness for Japanese watches, and French watches from the Yema and Lip brands.
