70s Racing inspired Bullhead Chrono by Cadola

The Taurus Chronograph REV Black is a sporty chronograph that combines modern usability with clear design influences from the 1970s. While earlier impressions might suggest a very large watch, the actual dimensions tell a more balanced story. With its proportions and vintage inspired styling, it feels like a contemporary take on classic racing and tool chronographs rather than an oversized statement piece. Specifications Model Taurus Chronograph REV Black Movement Japanese quartz chronograph Case material stainless steel Case size 39 millimeters Case thickness 13.8 millimeters Lug to lug distance 47 millimeters Dial color black Indices applied indices with luminous material Lens anti reflection coated mineral lens Crown type pull out crown Bracelet 20 millimeter stainless steel bracelet Clasp fold over buckle with safety lock and push button Water resistance 5 ATM Weight 150 grams Review The Taurus Chronograph REV Black wears much more compact than one might expect from its bold design. With a case size of thirty nine millimeters and a lug to lug distance of forty seven millimeters, it sits comfortably on a wide range of wrists. These dimensions make it suitable even for smaller and medium wrists, while the relatively thick case at thirteen point eight millimeters still gives the watch a solid and substantial presence. It feels sporty and robust without being overwhelming. The design clearly draws inspiration from seventies era chronographs. The overall case shape, the dial layout and the strong contrast elements all reflect classic racing watch aesthetics from that period. At the same time, the watch does not feel dated. The black dial, applied indices and modern finishing give it a contemporary edge that works well for everyday wear. The chronograph layout is clear and functional. The dial is visually engaging without becoming cluttered, which is important for a watch with multiple functions. The applied indices add depth and help with legibility, especially in combination with the luminous material. The anti reflection coated mineral lens does its job well and keeps reflections under control in most lighting conditions. The choice of a Japanese quartz chronograph movement is deliberate and sensible. It allows the watch to remain accurate, easy to use and affordable. This is an important point. The Taurus Chronograph is not trying to compete with mechanical chronographs in higher price ranges. Instead, it offers a reliable and practical solution that fits the design and keeps the overall price accessible. For a sporty everyday chronograph, this makes a lot of sense. Especially it clearly speaks and shows the language that it`s a gift for people who admire the classy design but doesn`t want to spend a lot of money for a watch. The stainless steel bracelet complements the case nicely. It is well built, feels solid and adds to the overall weight and quality impression of the watch. At one hundred fifty grams, the watch has a reassuring heft without feeling uncomfortable. The fold over clasp with safety lock and push button feels secure and practical and works exactly as it should. With a water resistance of five ATM, the watch is suitable for daily use and light water exposure, though it is clearly not intended as a dive watch. The pull out crown fits the overall chronograph concept and keeps operation simple and straightforward. Potential negative aspects here could be the Quartz movement and also the design because it`s not for everyone but I think this watch also doesn`t aims for being a watch for everyone and the quartz movement is a logical step if you want to keep the watch affordable. In summary, the Taurus Chronograph REV Black is a well balanced sports chronograph with strong seventies design influences and modern everyday practicality. Thanks to its quartz movement, compact dimensions and solid construction, it offers good value and an accessible entry into vintage inspired chronograph design. It may not appeal to purists looking for mechanical movements, but for those who appreciate classic racing vibes, wearable proportions and affordability, it delivers exactly what it promises.
