Here's a quick review after a few months of wearing this superb Grande Marine.

It's very comfortable on its steel bracelet, and its micro-adjustability is a real plus for those, like me, whose wrists are yo-yoing in this hot weather.

The two rubber straps, Black and Chocolate, included in the package are also not to be outdone.

I opted for another strap made by Basylstraps and I highly recommend it; the comfort is superb.

The optional left-hand crown is also a plus; I'd never dared to take the plunge, and objectively speaking, I have absolutely no regrets about this choice, especially for the comfort it provides on the upper wrist.

Regarding the winding, it's better than the COSC, and having already worn two other Bohens, I'm always amazed at the fine and precise adjustment of this ChronofiableA8 standard.

The 42-hour reserve is sufficient, although I would have liked a little more.

Bohen's upcoming SQUARE will feature a La Joux-Perret with a 65-hour power reserve, another great opportunity to dive back in and justify a purchase to your wife 😅

What more can I say than what hasn't already been said by the community? This sunray dial plays beautifully with ambient light, giving the impression of not having the same dial every day, and the X1 grade SuperLumiNova is exceptionally effective.

So YES, you can go for it with your eyes closed; with its 9.98 mm thickness, it will satisfy the vast majority of wrists, whether thin or thicker.

The Bohen brand is an invitation from Blaise-Dominique Giuliani to discover models with a true aesthetic identity. The Grande Marine is no exception to the rule, with its case supporting the famous "diamond" piece, its dial and flange playing with the light in an irresistible way when you want to take a photo, and finally the possibility of choosing the crown position to the left or right. For my part, this was the Destro model for its standout look and comfort.
A diver's watch with a water resistance of 600m, it is the thinnest on the market. Bohen's commitment to quality and finish is demonstrated with this Grande Marine.

The proposition of a strong emotion on the wrist

This is the third creation by Blaise-Dominique Giuliani, a designer based in Marseille, after the Mille-Mer and the Star-Diver.
We find Bohen's codes in the shapes of the case.
The watch is very thin (less than 13 mm) for a resistance of 600 meters.
The finishes are superb, from the brushed sunray dial in shades of gray and black (which also has brown highlights of the most beautiful effect) to the indexes, to the case itself, alternating brushed steel and polished steel.
As on its big sisters, an absolutely perfect bracelet, large adjustment range in the clasp, very strong decrease in the width of the bracelet between the width at the lugs and that at the clasp, which contributes to the stability of the watch on the wrist.
A high-quality hyper luminova, which still allows you to read the time at the end of the night.
The case back is not transparent, which is not surprising for a watch diving to this depth, and a shame because Blaise-Dominique reworks the movement provided by Soprod a lot.
60-click bezel, very precise and well adjusted
Note that the watch is delivered in a superb case, and with two rubber straps that can be very easily put on.
After a few days and nights on the wrist: a very easy watch to wear, on my large 23 cm wrists, as on more "normal" wrists, due to short horns, the balance of the watch, the decreasing width of the strap. A strap that is easy to adjust in a few seconds to the variations in circumference of your wrist. And above all, a very beautiful watch, a magnificent dial with changing reflections, whose balance is not disturbed by a date window, perfect readability, a contained diameter. Original design, and yet a reassuring watch by its presence, its weight, its balance. A watch that is very easy to wear on a daily basis, more so than its two big sisters, which are more tool-watch type.

A virile and fine diver at the same time, superbly finished

I was looking for a diver's watch that would look great on the wrist, with exemplary finishes, and without breaking the bank... I found it at Bohen with this Grande Marine, which, in my opinion, remains the best compromise in terms of value for money.

Steel case with original shapes and excellent finishes: brushed polished, titanium case back, helium escape valve, and a branded crown. The dial is deep and features a gradient from gray to black. It features numerous details, such as raised rose gold lettering, gem-set indexes, and a ceramic bezel. The shape of the hands provides the reading comfort expected of a diver's watch. The lum is very powerful.

Supplied with three straps, the steel is of high quality and the finishes are also perfect... see the engraving on the clasp.

All of this comes in a wooden case worthy of the greatest brands (and still not all :-)

In short, this watch has everything going for it, and for a reasonable budget, it offers fairly high-end features. Plus, she's super endearing and hard to forget. So, she rarely sees the trunk 👉
