As a huge fan of the work of Felipe Pantone and Zenith, I couldn't help but be interested in this Defy Skyline Tourbillon x Felipe Pantone. The centerpiece of this watch, in my opinion, is its dial, as fascinating as it is hypnotizing, which perfectly reflects Felipe Pantone's expertise in capturing light—very representative of his current work. 1. Artistic Design / Strong Identity - The iridescent dial (mirror-effect, metallic, with micro-engravings and moiré effect) offers a very lively play of light, changing depending on the angle and lighting. - The lightning bolt-shaped tourbillon bridge, with its rainbow finish, constitutes a strong visual signature of Felipe Pantone, and adds a very distinctive watchmaking touch. - The gradient hour markers and hands reinforce the aesthetic coherence of the whole. 2. Movement & Technology - The El Primero 3630 caliber, self-winding, with a high frequency of 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz), offers a power reserve of approximately 60 hours—that's serious business. - The tourbillon, visible at 6 o'clock, is beautifully crafted, with a finish worthy of Zenith's reputation. - 41 mm steel case, water-resistant to 100 meters: a good balance between sophistication and practicality. 3. Exclusivity & Packaging - Limited edition of 100 pieces. - Comes with a steel bracelet and a rubber strap, easily interchangeable thanks to the integrated system—a real plus for comfort and versatility. - Personalized packaging with an iridescent case: the object is enhanced upon opening, like a work of art. I've owned this watch for a year, and I still feel just as emotional looking at it. It's fascinating, very comfortable on the wrist, and can be worn in all circumstances: whether under a suit or with more casual attire. In short, a pleasure purchase that continues to give me great emotion. The only unknown remains the long-term maintenance cost.
