The must-have Macro Loupe for all watch lovers

A little gem discovered by chance during a family stroll through the streets of Saint-Jean-de-Luz. Among Italian, French, and Swiss divers, this JLC Master-Quartz, displayed at a more than reasonable price, immediately caught my eye. As the true geek and enthusiast that I am, I used the next day as an excuse to fill up with gas and inflate my tires with my wife to discreetly orchestrate a detour to St Jean-de Luz and confirm my purchase of this pretty piece!

70's

A little gem from the 70s, this quartz Jaeger is very charming with its linen dial on a silver-colored background that contrasts with its polished baton indexes and the applied JLC logo. A diameter that fits perfectly on my 17.5cm wrist. In a condition close to New from Stock, it is a real pleasure to wear this beauty that has a crazy charm ☺️

Surprising

A Cartier Santos, or how to marry elegance with sport-chic.
A priori, never a fan of gold watches, and even less of two-tone watches, this Cartier Santos from 1991, reference 2961, once put on the wrist was like an obvious choice for me.
Of contained size, it knows how to get noticed thanks to its bezel and the studs of its gold bracelet. It is truly magnificent. What's more, a watch that is not found on all wrists.

Flat: not great cyclops and average date readability. And transparent case back for a mechanism that is not particularly beautiful. I would have preferred an engraved case back.

Timeless, iconic, robust, reliable, simple and efficient.
Tritium index with a crazy patina, slightly blued bezel, this 14060 always makes me crack. If there were to be 2 left, it would be part of the lot (with my Zenith El Primero Revival A384).
Model from 1991, it combines both the advantages of vintage with its tritium indexes and its aluminum bezel, and the advantages of modern (robustness of the movement, precision and water resistance)


For once, Iconic

Limited edition for Air Force divers, say the splashes. Robust watch, with beautiful finishes, spade second hand, the inscription 'Air Force' worn in red on the dial, steel bezel, well-made steel bracelet, all this gives it an air of adventurer that I love. My daily for several months now.

The Zenith brand was created in 1865 by Georges Favre-Jacot in Le Locle, Switzerland. A pioneer in Swiss watchmaking in the creation of a true vertically integrated manufacture, Zenith aimed to create the most precise watch of its time at the best price. In 1899, the marque Zenith presents its first pocket chronograph and wins various prizes, including first prize at the Paris Motor Show. The Zenith is the reissue of the world's first automatic chronograph, released in 69, under the El Primero caliber. The reissue is very faithful to the original model, except for the logo, glass and sapphire caseback. On paper, it has a small diameter of 37mm, but its barrel shape, its massive horns, the sunray brushed case and the contrast of its panda dial give it an undeniable presence on the wrist, incomparable with any other round watch of the same diameter. Its characteristic detail is its ladder bracelet, atypical and divisive. Very comfortable in summer, it gives the watch an "integrated bracelet" style whose main flaw is the clasp which may seem cheap (folded sheet metal) but does the job, and is faithful to the model of 50 years ago. It is complete and complex, automatic and with date, its rougher machining edges, its square lollipop red second hand, and its alternation of subtle polished and brushed give the impression of a firmer and more mechanical handling, less warm and more technical. The seconds hand slides at 10Hz, activated by a stiffer pusher via its blued column wheel, the ticking of the el primero being sharper and faster. Very comfortable on leather, I like it on a black perforated rally strap, like its rival of the time: the Monaco from Heuer. I found a beautiful Zenith folding clasp to highlight it. On steel, it will immediately be more sport chic, without being consensual. Very unphotogenic in my opinion, it deserves a try-on out of curiosity. It is, in my opinion, a unique experience and emotion, very 70's and very fresh at the same time. In the shadow of the A386, it is more unique: it is a little-known (but emblematic) model from a little-known (but emblematic) house. Mustang atmosphere: a cool spirit, a special aura enhanced by a legendary engine….
