My Seiko 5 Suits is very pleasant and easy to wear not heavy and pretty with variations in color of the dial depending on where you are ... the diameter is 42.5mm the glass is in Hardlex (reinforced mineral) with ATM at 10 (the crown is not screwed) heir to the SKX but it is no longer a diver.

I present to you my Seiko 5 sport FIFTY FIVE FATHOMS...which I find goes everywhere with the look of a diver, the robustness of a sportswoman, the Seiko SNZH55K1 also known by its nickname of "Fifty Five Fathoms" for the homage to the Blancpain timepiece, is a versatile piece that can be worn on multiple occasions...Belonging to the "Best Sellers" category of the "Five" subsidiary of Seiko, the SNZH55K1 has a unidirectional bezel matching the Black & White dial of the watch.
As for the hands and indexes, they are treated with Lumibrite, a non-radioactive and luminescent component, making the time readable in all circumstances. On the back, there is a transparent caseback, allowing the wearer of the timepiece to observe the caliber 7S36B in action.
The Seiko manufacture movement is equipped with 23 jewels, benefiting from 40 hours of power reserve.

At three o'clock, there is a date and day complication, adjustable via the crown also located at three o'clock. The whole thing is protected by a "Hardlex" tempered mineral glass, a specialty at Seiko.

Finally, this automatic model is water-resistant to 100 meters. It does not allow swimming or diving, but is resistant to showers, baths, swimming or even hand washing. I present to you my Seiko 5 Sports SRPD61K1 that I have had for a few years but that I do not wear often ... while this watch from the Japanese brand is pleasant and easy to wear and not too heavy, I still always have great pleasure in putting it on my wrist, the green of the dial changes color depending on the light which is a beautiful effect, Seiko fans tend to call it the Seiko 5 Hulk ... the dial glass is in Hardlex (reinforced mineral) it has an ATM of 10 and a diameter of 42.5mm.

My YEMA Superman Worldtime batman 39mm 

I travel and I was looking for a versatile watch (resistant, diving, GMT)
with an interesting quality/price ratio and the cherry on the cake "French".
Several brands and models came to mind such as the LIP Nautic GMT, the Baltic Aquascaphe GMT, the Charlie-Paris Concordia GMT and the Yema Superman 500 GMT, for prices ranging from €940-€1345.

Yema and I already have a great love story, I will not retell the whole emblematic history of the brand here, but I already have the Superman Héritage in 41mm and a Digidisc.

I took advantage of the Yema sales and the possibility of paying up to 10x to set my sights on the Superman 500 GMT "Batman" which combines elegance and robustness with its stainless steel case that I chose in 41mm it has a domed sapphire crystal of the most beautiful effect. Its two-tone blue and black bezel (black appears more often gray) allows the reading of the GMT function.

It is equipped with a YEMA3000 in-house movement, offering 42 hours of power reserve. Water-resistant to 500m, well I only went down to 5m while snorkeling, it has the famous bezel locking device that makes the Superman specific. The grade A super-luminova ensures incredible readability.

I bought it with the steel bracelet but I immediately switched to a blue rubber (for a change).

A real versatile watch, solid and elegant.
I recommend it to you.



A GMT for traveling

Everyone knows Yema, this one has what it takes, in 39mm it's perfect for me, the GMT is not used for traveling but to know the time of my in-laws ;), the luminova is perfect this turquoise blue (see photo), it is very reliable, I have it whatever the theme forest, evening, work. We quickly forget this first impression that it will be heavy on the wrist! The only criticism I would make is the date window which is black it makes reading more difficult with the domed glass. Otherwise a very very beautiful GMT that will not leave my collection!

Day and night I love it

I needed a GMT watch to be able to work with Australia without having to look at my phone. So it's primarily a professional choice. I chose a 42mm case because of my eyesight ;) below, I can't read the time anymore... The second time zone hand is very clear and the watch is easy to configure. It's automatic: I always forget to wind it otherwise... And I hate quartz watches.

Finally a watch!

The practicality of the GMT function resonates with me, leading to an ongoing quest for an affordable yet commendable GMT watch. I remember reading a review on "Beyond The Dial" of this intriguing watch from Yema, obviously well-known in France but not particularly to me. I have been seduced by the opportunity to match my needs for a GMT and my love for France... Esteemed among watch enthusiasts for their legacy, Yema has further expanded their repertoire with this GMT, obviously complementing their iconic Superman aesthetic with functional diversity and a hint of color on the bezels.

I chose the 41mm stainless steel, providing a remarkable 500-meter water resistance, enhanced by a redesigned crown and fortified case back. Two options were on the table regarding the bezel, and I decided to go for the 'Batman' style blue-and-grey bezel that highlights the red seconds hand and 500 meters label.

The decision between sizes leans towards the 41mm, which offers better proportions... This is for me, of course. Even though I haven't tested it, I believe it was a good call. The watches feature a sapphire-crystal bezel that, along with the hands and hour markers, is treated with Super-LumiNova for low-light legibility. The locking mechanism on the GMT bezel, a carryover from their legacy dive watches, does the job from a design standpoint but might be redundant from a usage standpoint.

The caliber appears to be the in-house YEMA3000 GMT, a robust movement with a 42-hour power reserve and independent GMT hand adjustment. It's working pretty well, obviously, even though I was not expecting anything particular from an accuracy standpoint. From what I've read recently, Yema has made a huge jump with some additional in-house calibers in partnership with Olivier Mory...

Wearability is a significant highlight, with two options for straps or a steel bracelet. I have worn both and, as you can see in my photos, I have made the Tropic strap my own. For a bit more than USD 1,000, this Yema is a no-brainer, doing the job with its vintage charm.

Good start with this French brand

I chose this watch because I wanted a GMT complication, date window and good ATM resistance (50 ATM). This one is the Black and White version and I didn't have a watch with white yet and I really liked this mix of white and black like yin and yang with a little touch of red. This one is also equipped with a Yema3000 in-house movement. It also has a retro side with diver's indexes. And of course this typical Yema bezel protector.
