Discovered by chance on a colleague's wrist, I was immediately captivated, fascinated by the blue dial reminiscent of the French Air Force, which catches the light beautifully, especially the vertical brushed section at the bottom. Each impeccable white marking, combined with the applied indices and matching hands, provides perfect contrast, ensuring excellent legibility despite the significant amount of information. The thick, beveled crystal contributes to the watch's assertive look, creating a striking magnifying effect on the contours. The fully polished case lacks a bit of finesse in terms of finish and thickness (mainly due to the beautifully engraved case back), but this is forgivable for an automatic chronograph equipped with a Valjoux 7750 movement. The movement is noticeable on the wrist with slightly abrupt movements, as it rotates the oscillating weight, which seems quite substantial given its inertia. This adds to the pleasure of wearing this "French-style Navitimer"! I also have a special connection with this model, which reminds me of my father's historic 1970 Mk1 version, which he inherited. Another positive point: it pairs very well with various straps: - Yema black racing leather strap: the leather seems synthetic and not of high quality; I was a little disappointed upon closer inspection, but it looks good from a distance. - the Yema metal bracelet: initially unconvinced by the photos, it looks very good in person, adding a finishing touch to the watch with its alternating polished and brushed surfaces. Another positive point is the micro-adjustment feature. via 6 positions, making it perfectly adjustable. - Light blue parachute bracelet, a summer favorite, infinitely adjustable, comfortable, and lightweight. Adds 1mm of thickness, which is barely noticeable.
