This is my father's watch. I think he bought it in 1981. It's a watch that's traveled a lot, especially overseas. It bears the marks of a lifetime.
For a while, he stopped wearing it, thinking it had stopped working. I found it at the bottom of a drawer. He gave it to me.

Rarer than its cousins

How beautiful is this patinated adventurer from 1975. It could have been called Marine Nationale but my beauty is not engraved and yet I love it so much. Saved and restored by a watchmaker friend I do not know all the misfortunes it could have had, it keeps the scars and it is in great shape today. I will spare it the great depths that it would probably still assume. Its shades of blue are the most beautiful of the divers that I know, its slightly slobbery tritium indexes and hands seem to assume 50 years of real life outside of a very cozy trunk.

The 7924 is one of the first references that were issued to the French Navy and this is the case of my copy that was used in Toulon. The contained diameter and the large winder give these first Submariners a raw side, an incredible presence on the wrist that is reinforced here by the "tropical" dial.
