The inner rotating bezel operates smoothly, adding a touch of originality to the model. My only reservation is the red seconds hand, which I would have preferred to be a little more discreet.In my line-up — ranging from the squared boldness of a Bell & Ross to the heritage DNA of ZRC — the Rochelaise strikes a different chord. It’s not about pushing technical boundaries; it’s about wearing a slice of French history, interpreted for today. A reminder that a watch doesn’t always have to shout to be noticed — sometimes it simply whispers with charm.

For collectors who enjoy authentic stories behind their pieces, the Le Forban Rochelaise is exactly that: a tribute to French seafaring style, carrying its past into my present adventures.

As part of my 8-watches collection, the Concordia Nazaré GMT stands out as a watch that gets so many things right at a very fair price point. I love its clean yet characterful design, the subtle details like the red marker on the crown (when unscrewed), the second hand shape perfectly embracing the dial markers or the original color of the GMT dial. And of course the versatility of the GMT function in a 30 ATM watch at a very reasonable thickness. Its 40mm feels thoughtful and well-balanced on the wrist.

Not everything is perfect—personally I could do without the transparent case back, the accuracy could be sharper and I would have preferred a 60-click bezel. Never really get the point to have 120 clicks. But these are small trade-offs in the bigger picture.

What strikes me most is how underhyped Charlie Paris remains. The brand delivers strong design, solid specs, and great value, yet it still flies under the radar compared to many others French brands. It also gets a lot of criticism from the French YouTuber without real good ratuonale (other than the brand name). For me, the Concordia Nazaré GMT is proof that Charlie Paris deserves a lot more attention in the watch community.

An Underhyped Tool

Owning a modest but fairly diverse collection — ranging from neo-vintage pieces to modern tool watches and higher-end manufacture movements — inevitably raises the bar. The ZRC GF38213 is a watch I approached with high expectations, and overall, it delivers something genuinely distinctive in my lineup.

The first thing that stands out is the quality of the metallic components. ZRC clearly knows how to work steel. The case finishing is excellent for a professional dive watch: robust without feeling crude, purposeful without sacrificing refinement. It has real presence on the wrist, yet never feels overbuilt. The bracelet ecosystem deserves special praise. In addition to the original bracelet, the additional bracelet I purchased is outstanding. The machining, tolerances, and overall feel put them well above what is typically offered in this segment. Compared to several watches in my collection — the GF38213’s bracelets genuinely hold their own. The 60-click bezel is another highlight. While many modern divers go for 120 clicks, the 60-click execution here feels deliberate and historically coherent. The action is precise, confident, and extremely satisfying in daily use. It reinforces the tool-watch DNA and fits perfectly with the Marine Nationale heritage ZRC is channeling.

Accuracy is where the GF38213 slightly disappoints. While it has improved over time, it still does not consistently fall within the +7/-7 seconds per day specification. In a collection that includes very stable movements this becomes noticeable. It’s not a deal-breaker, but it is an area where sharper regulation would elevate the watch significantly. The date window is another small but persistent frustration. It is slightly off-center, and once noticed, it’s hard to ignore — especially for someone used to cleaner, more precise dial layouts. Finally, the dial feels a bit too busy. There is simply too much writing, which detracts from the otherwise strong visual identity. Given how confident the case and bezel design are, a more restrained dial would improve legibility and give the watch an even more timeless tool-watch aesthetic.

The ZRC GF38213 earns its place in my collection not because it is perfect, but because it is authentic. It feels like a real instrument, built by a brand with legitimate history and a clear vision. The exceptional metalwork, superb bracelets, and purposeful bezel make it a watch I genuinely enjoy wearing.With slightly better regulation, a more precise date alignment, and a cleaner dial, this could easily move from “very good” to “exceptional.” As it stands, it remains a strong, character-driven dive watch that brings something unique and refreshingly uncompromising to a my collection.

ZRC Grands Fonds - A tool watch with serious character

The BB Pro Opalin is a watch I appreciate for its balance and coherence. Nothing is excessive: the proportions are perfect, the time is immediately legible, and the overall aesthetic remains true to Tudor's DNA, a blend of understated elegance and robustness. It's a piece that doesn't try to stand out, but rather commands attention on the wrist.

On the wrist, it feels wonderful. The watch exudes solidity and reliability, with a controlled presence that suits both everyday wear and more formal occasions. Every detail seems designed to last, without fleeting trends or unnecessary compromises.

Given to me at a significant moment in my life, it represents a well-considered choice, both for its horological qualities and for what it embodies: a watch made to stand the test of time, without ever growing tiresome.

The watch I will keep

My Seiko SKX013 is a true favorite. It's with it that I developed my love for diving watches. Its first asset is undoubtedly its compact 38mm diameter, perfect for my 16cm wrist. The second is that it's a true diver's watch, water-resistant to 200m, so I can dive into the water with my eyes closed.
My SKX dates from 1997, almost at the launch of the SKX range in 1996. Its indexes and hands, weathered by time, won me over at first glance!

Discovered by chance on YouTube, I was immediately impressed by the characteristics of this watch. Waterproof 500 meters, Swiss made, a case with a sandblasted finish of the most beautiful effect and so on, all for less than 1000 euros. I ended up cracking and I was even more surprised when I received it and I was able to realize the quality of the finishes. A great diver with a vintage look that stands out from the others and that can be worn on lots of bracelets, the pretty leather on which it is delivered (and a buckle works !!), a nato, a rubber (Orange that snaps with the needle!).

My first watch that exceeds 4000e, I had to save this time ;)! But what a pleasure to have it on my wrist, yes despite its thickness once on my wrist I forget its size.
It makes me want to wear it whatever the situation, working day and night I sometimes use this 24h mode. My TUDOR BLACK BAY PRO

Sober, classic, reliable and I like all-steel watches, it's not flashy, I wanted a first Swiss watch, for me, I think I made the right choice, it's not Bing bling and can also be worn every day but hey, given my job, it's not really the case, it's a GMT not too visible not like all these GMTs with their multi-colored bezels like its sister the Black Bay GMT or its cousins from Rolex and knowing me, I keep everything, so not about to resell it, that's it, I'm not a big talker and even less a great writer.
Well I don't know what else to say.

My first Swiss

This watch is my first watch from a well-known watch brand and I don't regret it at all. It has followed me everywhere since I bought it and I have no complaints. The accuracy is excellent, I haven't had to reset my watch for over 3 months. Some people judge the thickness of the model but once on the wrist, it's not shocking at all! It fits easily under a shirt.

La daily watch par excellence

The black bay pro... A watch loved when it came out, many were skeptical about its thickness, but no. So yes, it is thick, despite all the comfort on the wrist is present and its thickness disappears as you wear it.

I bought it to have the GMT function, I live in Canada while being French. Also, it closes the chapter of years of study.

I had it on his nato, a nato of good quality but not being a fan of nato, I had to buy a few other bracelets. I recommend the president bracelet from Uncle strap, very comfortable with its short links, but without T-fit.
I also recommend the port Louis bracelet from Avel and Men, the yellow is identical.

A watch full of personality

As a GMT and "tool" watch enthusiast, I was initially going for an Explorer II, and I was also able to try the 226570 at the same time as the Black Bay Pro (BB Pro)! Despite the availability of the Rolex, I only had eyes for the crown keeper.
I appreciate this BB Pro first and foremost for its bezel, whose satin finish is very beautifully crafted. This bezel highlights a matte dial that oscillates between anthracite gray and black. It highlights studs made of a kind of ceramic and well-integrated snowflake hands. Obviously, the orange-yellow GMT hand energizes the design without overdoing it. The cream shade of the studs and hands brings a slightly vintage touch. Visibility is excellent during the day and the luminova is super powerful. Everything is enhanced by a domed sapphire crystal that gives beautiful distortions.
The bracelet would have been more elegant without its rivets, but it is very comfortable! The "on the fly" adjustment system of the clasp of this BB pro is amazingly simple and effective. Besides, I like to change my strap regularly, I never considered it for this BB Pro.
It is not a thin watch, I grant you, but when worn it is not shocking, especially thanks to harmonious proportions, a contained diameter of 39mm and an oversized signed crown; finally a mirror polish on the edge and fine chamfers finish off lightening the whole. She is an adventurer, she likes military shirts with rolled up sleeves; rest assured, a simple swimsuit is enough for her because she also enjoys swimming with its 200m water resistance.
The "true GMT" caliber MT5652 (COSC) is very precise and easy to use.
Ultimately, this BB pro is an efficient and comfortable watch that makes me smile every time I see that GMT hand set to the time zone of a city where I've had so many great times.
