This Triton is part of the first series of 1,000 Triton watches produced in 1962. It has a bakelite bezel typical of the first models (rounded numbers and batons) and an extremely rare lacquered dial (with off-center indexes). Like any self-respecting series 1, it has the famous Parmentier crown (cap screwed onto the small crown to improve water resistance). The original 2-strand perron bracelet perfectly completes this French flagship. To "top it all off, a certificate attests to its affiliation with a ship of the French Navy sunk in 1958. For less, you can hardly do better. 38mm of happiness with a crown at 12 o'clock and its very special removable crown guards.
