I've finally settled on the Op 36 after a few years of ignoring the brand. I've recently returned to it, not through the back door (many consider the Op a basic entry-level model), but through the mother of all Rolexes! Oyster case, automatic winding...what else?!
Its black dial, 36mm case, and Oyster bracelet make it the perfect everyday watch! So much so that it eclipses all others when you need something simple, versatile, and understated.

That's exactly the image I like to have of the Op: a solid and timeless watch.



Oyster Perpetual: The Quintessence of Rolex

I bought this Speedtimer brand new when it was released at Christmas 2023. JavaScript already owns a Speedtimer, also a limited edition (Crystal Trophy). Everything about this watch is perfect! Size, subdials, color palette...it goes with everything, on steel, leather, NATO strap; it suits it all!
This is the watch I recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful chronograph for under €1000. I wear it very often. I've owned several chronographs: Breitling, Speedmaster, etc., but I haven't yet found a chronograph this nice in this price range...a real success!

My favorite stopwatch!

I bought this Bulova the day I first appeared on the Dialicious channel. It's a vintage model from 1973, the year I was born. The Accutron Spaceview has existed since 1960, but TV sets like this one date from the 70s. A marvel of technology for its time, before the arrival of quartz. It's a tuning fork movement that hums when you hold the watch near your ear... personally, I find it soothing 🤣

My conversation watch!

It was the 2004 release that made me dream. At a time when Panerai was the benchmark, Cartier made a bold statement with the Santos 100, a more robust Santos designed to appeal to contemporary tastes. It retains the classic Santos design elements while offering modern durability and specifications. My model is reference 2878, the smallest size (35mm), which suits me perfectly. It has presence, style, and timeless class!

This 2015 model in 39mm is timeless! It flirts with the great complication: small seconds, day, date, month, moon phase, on a super balanced sunray gray dial, applied and polished indexes...class! The open case back allows you to appreciate a magnificent movement that takes the size of the case well. Seiko has released this SSC813P1 model integrated into the Prospex Speedtimer collection. A chronograph powered by the V192 caliber. The shape of the case is inspired by the original from 1964 with a new diameter of 39 mm, the domed sapphire crystal contributes to the pleasure of looking at this watch. The sandblasted finish of the white dial, contrasts with the sub-dials play with the light between black and purple because they are solar cells! The lower sub-dial gives an indication of the battery charge F for full and E for empty. In full the watch can run for 6 months. The precision is approximately 13 s / month. The watch is water-resistant to 100m, stopwatch to 1/5th of a second and tachymeter. The carbon titanium bezel fits perfectly into the watch. The beige hands give a little retro side to the watch. The finish is very good for the asking price, I was really won over by this watch! The flaws now because there are some of course: the date at four o'clock which is too much inside the watch and therefore not very readable, probably because of the implementation of the solar cells. The bracelet which I find is a little set back from the case and which only has two micro adjustments. Finally Seiko should have designed several sizes for this case a bit like Longines with its Hydroconquest series here only a 39mm version perfect for average wrists but maybe a little small for a 19 wrist like mine! I recommend this watch because it gives a lot for its price, an advantageous aesthetic, good precision due to its v192 caliber, no battery to change, a water resistance of 10 atm, a domed sapphire crystal of the most beautiful effect, a little vintage side and its Rolex Daytona inspiration!

I love the proportions of this watch, a little gem of 39mm, rare for 7n chronograph. And what's better than Seiko for a Quartz chronometer? The precision is there and the autonomy is crazy.

SSC813 the "Seitona panda"

I present to you my Seiko Speedtimer, from the limited edition "Prospex Black Series," reference SSC923P1.

This watch is a worthy legacy of Seiko's expertise in sports timekeeping, featuring its renowned V192 movement. This quartz movement ensures accuracy of ±15 seconds per month, powered by a light-rechargeable battery. Once fully charged, the watch can run for several months without any exposure to light.

Aesthetically, it boasts a bold black dial that adds a touch of sophistication while enhancing legibility thanks to its contrasting subdials. The indices and hands, coated with green Lumibrite, ensure readability day and night.

It is water-resistant to 100 meters. Its PVD-coated stainless steel case appears robust; its modern and elegant design makes it a handsome chronograph. The 41mm diameter is very comfortable to wear thanks to its compact lug width.

The fabric strap with a pin buckle does the job, but I'm thinking of replacing it with a leather one to give it a more elegant look. Of course, a sapphire crystal is standard at this price point (€750).

It's hard to find fault with this chronograph; perhaps its diameter might be a bit small for those with smaller wrists, and its all-black design could make it look a bit plasticky.

I really like this watch and I plan to wear it regularly in the future.
