I really like the Seiko 5 and not long ago Seiko has just released the new Seiko 5 SKX SRPK87K1 which recalls the five models of 1960 ... My Seiko 5 Suits is very pleasant and easy to wear not heavy and pretty with variations in color of the dial depending on where you are ... the diameter is 42.5mm the glass is in Hardlex (reinforced mineral) with ATM at 10 (the crown is not screwed) heir to the SKX but it is no longer a diver.

I present to you my Seiko 5 sport FIFTY FIVE FATHOMS...which I find goes everywhere with the look of a diver, the robustness of a sportswoman, the Seiko SNZH55K1 also known by its nickname of "Fifty Five Fathoms" for the homage to the Blancpain timepiece, is a versatile piece that can be worn on multiple occasions...Belonging to the "Best Sellers" category of the "Five" subsidiary of Seiko, the SNZH55K1 has a unidirectional bezel matching the Black & White dial of the watch.
As for the hands and indexes, they are treated with Lumibrite, a non-radioactive and luminescent component, making the time readable in all circumstances. On the back, there is a transparent caseback, allowing the wearer of the timepiece to observe the caliber 7S36B in action.
The Seiko manufacture movement is equipped with 23 jewels, benefiting from 40 hours of power reserve.

At three o'clock, there is a date and day complication, adjustable via the crown also located at three o'clock. The whole thing is protected by a "Hardlex" tempered mineral glass, a specialty at Seiko.

Finally, this automatic model is water-resistant to 100 meters. It does not allow swimming or diving, but is resistant to showers, baths, swimming or even hand washing. I present to you my Seiko 5 Sports SRPD61K1 that I have had for a few years but that I do not wear often ... while this watch from the Japanese brand is pleasant and easy to wear and not too heavy, I still always have great pleasure in putting it on my wrist, the green of the dial changes color depending on the light which is a beautiful effect, Seiko fans tend to call it the Seiko 5 Hulk ... the dial glass is in Hardlex (reinforced mineral) it has an ATM of 10 and a diameter of 42.5mm.

I present to you my Seiko SKX007 a watch that I acquired a long time ago, this watch was put on the market by the Japanese manufacturer Seiko in 1996 and they withdrew it from sale in 2019. It is a real diver that has proven itself because it is a real tool watch it has the automatic movement 7S26 a caliber renowned for its reliability and robustness it is one of the watches that has been the best-selling by the Tokyo brand, with a special strap to go on the diving suit branded Seiko and the crown is screwed, in the same segment the watch that rivals it is the Citizen NY0040 that I also own because I love divers and this Seiko SKX is legendary and I will never part with it, it has a typical wave bracelet stamped Seiko and which reproduces the bottom of the watch case its diameter is 42mm.

When I received this SKX ordered this summer 2023 I remember the emotion caused when I received it. It was THE watch that I would have liked to have when I was younger when I wore festina that did not last very long on my wrist. The emotion quickly went down the same day when I saw that it was moving forward by 20 minutes per hour!!! After disassembly, changing the balance spring and adjustment, it is now around -15 / +15 seconds per day which suits me
Aesthetically there is nothing to complain about. The lume is excellent. It is super well proportioned even for my small wrist. It is a winner that would have deserved a permanent place in the Seiko collection


Mythical

This is the watch that got me into "watchmaking". Little sister of the SKX007 because it is 38mm (compared to 42mm for the 007). Small diver in size, but not in features! 200m waterproof, an iconic design, an indestructible movement (not super precise though). The skx013 is an ideal daily watch because each strap gives it a different look! A colorful tropic for summer, a nato for a casual style, the jubilee for every day, and a leather to go out well dressed! 
The little detail that I love is the orange "Diver's200m" writing which adds some pep to the dial!

SKX013, when the small one surpasses the big one!

The SKX .... there was a time when getting into watchmaking could be summed up as SKX or Mako? It was Mako for me 5 years ago, finding the SKX too "rustic" & "industrial". I was wrong. The SKX is one of those watches whose bezel Ø is 2mm smaller than the case Ø. This mid-size model with a 37/38mm case therefore has a Ø35 bezel & a Ø27 dial. Which is very small, very refined, perhaps too much for tool use. And so as the title indicates, with its faceted conical bezel, its contained Ø & its jubilee bracelet, this SKX is not so far removed in the broad outlines from a classic OysterDate construction (completely in its place between a 74033 & a 114270). In short, a watch also designed for bike rides, but which takes on so many roles that it can do everything with its SEIKO jubilee bracelet. It is the most complete in my watch box.

DayDate

I have owned this SKX for over 5 years and it is a watch that I still enjoy wearing. The price/pleasure ratio is incredible (watch purchased for less than 300 euros). This is one of the last SKX models made in Japan. With the orange dial, it is obviously very sporty but you can easily dress it up with beautiful straps (leather or NATO), the original rubber strap being really bulky and not very elegant. A really great holiday watch.

I present to you my Seiko skx 009 7S26 bought in January 2024, I wanted it for a long time, between 2010 and 2015 I was looking to acquire one but I had not yet decided and at that time I had bought a good dozen watches and unfortunately it was not part of them.
It has been in my collection for 1 year and quite often on my wrist, it has a superb face that makes you want to wear it often, the shape of the case and the bezel are really original, the horn to horn is relatively short so it is very pleasant and goes well even for a small wrist. What I like the most is clearly the deep blue and matte dial but I especially love the design of the 6, 9 and 12 o'clock indexes then the Pepsi bezel which goes wonderfully.
