My Little Seiko Bell Matic Reference 4006 - 7010 Double Love at First Sight for Japanese Charm and Alarm Complication I am delighted to share my love at first sight for my Seiko Bell Matic Reference 4006-7010. As a great Seiko admirer, this watch immediately seduced me with its design and functionality. The Seiko Bell-Matic is a fascinating watch, not only for its aesthetics but also for its impressive technical characteristics. Produced between 1966 and 1978, it is one of the first automatic watches with an alarm, a complication generally reserved for large watchmaking houses such as Jaeger-LeCoultre with the famous Memovox. In addition to the alarm, this watch offers a day-date complication, which adds to its daily usefulness. The dial of this Bell-Matic is simply sublime. Seiko is renowned for the beauty of its dials, and this one is no exception. The sunray dial captures and reflects light in a way that brings the watch to life, creating a dynamic and captivating visual effect. Every detail is finely crafted, highlighting Seiko's quality and craftsmanship. The hands, although not luminous, are elegantly proportioned and offer excellent readability. In terms of technical specifications, the Bell-Matic is equipped with the caliber 4006, a robust and reliable automatic movement. The mechanical alarm function, activated by a secondary crown and pusher, is a valuable addition for lovers of watch complications. To complete its look, I replaced the original strap with a rally leather strap. This choice not only improved the comfort on the wrist but also added an extra touch of character, accentuating its vintage and sporty look. For collectors and vintage watch enthusiasts, the Seiko Bell-Matic is an exceptional choice. Its unique combination of features, elegant design and reliability make this watch a true horological treasure.
