This watch had fascinated me for a long time. Having only seen it in photos, I was eager to hold it in my hands. It was during a stay in Paris that I was able to admire it in real life in the boutique on Place Vendôme. It was love at first sight. Its sparkling dial is of rare beauty. Depending on the lighting, it changes from white to gray and subtle pink. The Spring drive movement, which lets the seconds pass in a continuous flow, is captivating and soothing.

I saw it and was immediately seduced. Its black dial tending towards brown depending on the exposure to light, its golden details, the small red triangle and the leather strap make it so warm. A diver mounted on a leather strap may seem paradoxical. But it is precisely this combination that I liked. And let's be honest: who really dives with their watch? It is a watch for everyday life. It can be worn with any outfit, rather discreet and easily hidden under the sleeve of a shirt thanks to its small size.

A warm watch

I was looking for a quality, robust, versatile watch that could be worn on any occasion. That's how I went for a Rolex Datejust. At first I wanted the one with the blue dial. In the end, it was a slate background with diamond indices that made me fall in love. I find this watch perfect. It is precise, sparkling, comfortable and can be worn on any occasion. It is my first high-end watch and I never get tired of it!

A watch for all occasions

It was its vintage side that caught my attention. A legendary diver that fits perfectly into the lineage of the 1957 model but with the advantages of a modern watch thanks to its co-axial caliber. At first glance it seems simple, refined, ... Looking more closely we discover fun details like the Lollipop second hand and the "sandwich" dial. I also appreciate its bracelet which is refined to end up with a very practical clasp with its possibility of quick adjustment. This watch offers everything: a perfect finish, a very practical side thanks to its waterproofness and its readability day and night, a certain elegance and discretion allowing it to be worn on any occasion. If my collection had to include only one watch, it would be this one!

I wanted to tell you about my latest purchase because I originally made it last July. I love Rolex watches but wasn't particularly into the brand's Classic models, but when I had the opportunity to see this magnificent mint green dial, I was literally enchanted. I went to the store and managed to convince my AD of my good faith. It took me just over a month to get it. A real stroke of luck. I opted for an Oyster bracelet because with its fluted bezel I was afraid of getting too much of a "bling bling" effect. This watch is a "killer"

My choice is the most timeless watch I know. Fine, elegant, robust and waterproof, it goes everywhere and will follow me throughout my life, despite its side a little too polished to be honest!

The timeless Rolex

Having collected watches since childhood, it was Rolex that I turned to when I decided to buy my first manufacture watch. After a few fittings at my AD, I chose the Datejust, an icon of the brand with the crown. One of the main reasons for this choice was its look: the combination of the fluted bezel and the jubilee bracelet make the watch sparkle in the light, a pleasure for the eyes. In addition, despite its elegant side, its robustness and water resistance mean that you can wear it anywhere in any circumstance, whether at formal events or on vacation at the seaside. The comfort of the bracelet is also very appreciable, with the Easylink allowing you to adjust the length of the bracelet if necessary. Very satisfied with this watch for 2 years now, it occupies a fairly important place in my collection.

Timeless

After falling in love with the Datejust 41 Jubilee bracelet fluted bezel during a visit to Bucherer Geneva with a friend who was picking up his black OP 36, I tried the green, blue, and slate dials (the famous Wimbledon). The latter immediately struck me with its elegance and the contrast of the green Roman numeral indexes with the rest of the gray dial, which offers magnificent reflections in the sunlight.

So I signed up for the waiting list in November 2021 and only received the good news in June 2025. The wait was worth it!

Just sublime

No need to introduce one of the pillars of the Rolex range. 
To celebrate the birth of my daughter, I decided to treat myself to a watch and I turned to Rolex (caught up in the hypnotic and marketing power of the crown :) ). I went to my AD a few days after the birth with the goal of coming out with a watch at all costs (at that time, shortages were de rigueur). 
The available models were quite limited: the black and blue submariner in gold and steel, a few datejust 36 and 2 datejust 41 (the white version with Roman numerals and the Wimbledon). As a tennis fan, I chose the Wimbledon version with smooth bezel on a jubilee bracelet, which I had engraved for the occasion.
