The must-have Macro Loupe for all watch lovers

Sobriety, classicism, timelessness... it was the first new model that I wanted to buy from this brand that made me dream so much... its diameter is perfect I think (37mm), the caliber still has the Geneva hallmark... typically a watch that can be both very elegant but also wearable in all circumstances. A first step at PP that I do not regret.

Simple and timeless model from the brand

The Patek Philippe brand was created in 1839 by Antoine Norbert de Patek and Fran&ccedil;ois Czapek in Geneva, Switzerland. Historic brand of Haute Horlogerie, Patek Philippe is part of the very closed circle of the oldest manufacturers still in operation. It is notably at the origin of the caliber 89, the first pocket caliber with 33 complications. Since its creation, it has had real know-how in artisanal know-how and a strong capacity to innovate. In fact, since 1845, it has been the source of more than 70 patents.

I bought this Calatrava in October 2021, delivery October 2022 by chance, "only" 1 year delay. A welcome at Patek worthy of a great watchmaking house. For me, this watch is the accomplishment of everything. Indeed, Patek is already one of the most beautiful brands of fine watchmaking for me, with impeccable know-how and quality. Why the Calatrava 6119G? A big favorite already, when I saw it as an exhibition model, a grandiose brushed silver dial, a "clou de paris" white gold bezel punched with a diamond, a work of art! The small seconds in a small window is perfectly placed, and the indexes are magnificent on three sides, a simply meticulous design, the sense of detail is there, we are at Patek. Then a movement with visible mechanical winding because for me it is important to see the mechanism.
