Nubeo Tri Star Orbit - Planets telling the Time

The new TriStar Orbit by Nubeo is a watch that immediately stands out for its design. I got the red version, and from the first moment, it’s clear: this watch is all about the aesthetics and the way it plays with light, depth, and color. Before getting into the design, let’s start with the specs. The TriStar Orbit comes with a 46 mm case diameter, 20.9 mm thickness, and a 52 mm lug-to-lug distance. Inside ticks an automatic movement with a glass case back, allowing you to see the movement in action. The watch features a screw-down crown but still just 50 meters of water resistance. I`m wondering about that and maybe it has more than 50m WR, but on the watch and in the manual it`s mentioned with 50m - so we take it like it`s officially mentioned. One of the highlights is the satellite complication. Reading the time works differently here: imagine the planet at 7 o’clock, 30 minutes. As the planet moves past the 60 scale, the “8” comes into position, marking 8 o’clock. You use the scale on the button to read the time — once you get used to it, it’s quite intuitive and fun. The watch comes on a rubber strap. The dial features Swiss Super-Luminova, glowing green on the planet and numerals, while the case sides and back glow blue a combination I personally really enjoy. The blue lume contrasts beautifully with the green lume on the planet, giving the watch a unique nighttime presence. Design-wise, this is where the TriStar Orbit truly shines. The orange background under the dial complements the red accents and fits perfectly with the cosmic theme. When sunlight hits the dial, it reveals an incredible depth and color shift, something that gives this watch real character. On the wrist, the watch wears better than the numbers suggest. My wrist measures 17.2 cm, and thanks to the curved case design and 52 mm lug-to-lug, it’s still comfortable and wearable. The shape of the case allows it to hug the wrist nicely. During wrist rolls, the dial constantly changes its appearance and every angle shows something new, which makes wearing it quite engaging. As for downsides, the 50 m water resistance could be better, and the mineral crystal is something that could be improved with sapphire. But since this is more of a design watch than a pure tool watch, these compromises are understandable and def. tolerable. Overall, the Nubeo TriStar Orbit is a bold, futuristic piece for those who appreciate creative watchmaking that comes in a qualitive and solid caseback. It’s not for those who prefer classic designs but Nubdeo just not stands for classic design. If you enjoy innovative concepts and statement pieces, this watch is absolutely worth checking out.
