For some time now, the desire to own a watch with a dial patinated by time had been nagging at me. This Multifort Extra Thin, hand-wound model, dating from the late 1940s or early 1950s, literally jumped out at me at first sight. Its champagne and ivory dial, animated by hands still slightly blued, and featuring a small seconds subdial discreetly positioned at six o'clock, immediately resonated with my watchmaking enthusiast heart. This sublime Mido is enhanced by a steel Oyster-style expandable bracelet that suits it perfectly. Its 34mm case, with its restrained proportions, further accentuates its vintage charm and period elegance. And let's be honest, small watches have a truly undeniable cool factor.
