A small vintage watch of 34-35mm, ultra thin and with Breguet numerals, a fairly uniform patina, and finally a small second sector. I love this watch for its elegance and its chic side without overdoing it. It is simple, readable but it has character, that's what seduced me. I recommend this kind of small vintage watch to everyone, it's a little treat to wear from time to time

I was first seduced by the story and especially the founders' intention in creating the brand. The attention to detail and quality shines through. A vintage look but with modern features. I don't like metal bracelets but the bonklip is great and is forgotten throughout the day. I wear this watch for all occasions; at work it is not ostentatious, on the go no problem and for more dressy occasions with a nice leather strap it is superb. I came across this little Longines from 1948 at a watch fair, on sale because the dial is a bit pitted and slightly erases the "Longines" at 12 o'clock. I knew right away that it was for me, 30.5mm of pure happiness, a Longines movement decorated with Geneva stripes, a small second, a dial that I find splendid although a bit damaged, and above all the fact that I can tell that it had a thousand lives before me. What more could you ask for?

My first auction experience. While I was getting lost on inter-enchères I came across this small (very small: 31mm) Longines which was the only watch lost in a furniture sale from the 70s. It immediately reminded me of the one that had equipped the French Navy, the famous M.N recently reissued. Hammer fell at only 75 euros and a lot of pleasure to discover it. I asked for an extract from the archives, the latter indicates that "this caliber was invoiced on 21.5.1942 to the Longines-Wittnauer Co., then our agent for the USA. The other parts of the watch were manufactured locally under Longines license." So it's a watch that dates from WW2 and which certainly had a rich history across the Atlantic. All these fantasies and speculations (historical rather than financial) are intrinsically part of my love for vintage watches. I should point out that it runs perfectly, it was a gamble given the absence of description from the auctioneer, a happy ending therefore.

The dial with its Arabic numerals and discreet Longines signature is rightly marked by its time. It was at war, as they say.
The simple, straight lugs were welded to the bars: I can therefore only equip it with a NATO strap.
Despite a complete overhaul, the movement is tired and stops without warning.
