The Longines Legend Diver is a model that meets a simple need: which diver to choose if you don't like the "classic" design with a large external rotating bezel of pure and hard divers. The super compressor case allows you to answer this dilemma by replacing this bezel with a flange that fits into the case as a continuation of the dial. This means you almost don't realize that it's a diver, except for the presence of two crowns. Not being a fan of tool or professional watches, this one allows me to integrate an elegant diver into my collection. Its strong points: the style of the Longines logo and the Automatic font, the discreet luminova, the magnificent flat glass. Points to improve: a notched flange would be perfect to set it properly at 12 o'clock, the date is not mandatory, it deserves a more suitable steel bracelet than the brand's mesh. In 39mm it would be perfect

The Sunday Sportsman's Diver

Having tried the steel version of the Legend Diver at a distributor, I fell in love with this atypical design for a diver. Two crowns and an internal rotating bezel, which differentiates it from the many Submariner clones on the market. Then, I came across this same version in bronze, with a black-green dial. Immediately, it reminded me of the old diving suits that fascinated me so much. I was celebrating my 30th birthday, and this was the one I needed. I can't currently evaluate the quality of the straps provided (brown leather and green nato).

A legendary watch, with an iconic design and whose codes have changed very little between the original and its recent reissues.
The one I bought, which is the reference prior to the current one, is the one that convinces best in this not easy exercise of bringing a watch from yesteryear up to date: slightly faded cream indices, domed sapphire crystal and subtle Milanese mesh bracelet contribute to a resolutely vintage aesthetic, all in a very practical 36mm package that still offers presence.
Many brands are trying their hand at neo-vintage these days, but few have succeeded as well as Longines with this watch!
