The almost perfect watch! You can do anything with it! It is robust, I love the brushed steel, I feel like the watch is impossible to scratch. The falsely patinated indexes are magnificent, the luminescent material works wonderfully and for a long time! Reading the time couldn't be easier, the NATO strap is comfortable, the little touches of leather add that little something extra. The 80-hour power reserve is very appreciable. The hands are basic but very effective, and the slightly domed sapphire crystal is anti-reflective, which is very pleasant! There is also a stop second, which is not always the case on watches in this price range. I absolutely love everything about this watch that can be worn in any circumstance. With its iconic design, its features, and its history, I find that the price is really more than justified! It’s hard to do better, for me the Khaki Field is really Hamilton’s centerpiece (with the Ventura which we hear a little less about). The only downside, if we have to find one, is its water resistance to only 50 meters, certainly it’s not a watch whose purpose is to go in the water, but a water resistance to 100m would have really been the icing on the cake.

Nice Ernest Borel Incastar with its applied indexes. An old watch that I bought in a near NOS condition, I did not know the brand when buying it so I simply bought the design. Surprisingly precise for a watch of this period, with a nice copper-colored movement. An unusual dresswatch for not much, I am delighted!

Deep in Alaska, in Talkeetna, a man decided to start his own watch brand with his wife. I had been following him on Instagram for a while, and I waited a long time before I could finally buy one of his models. I immediately jumped at the chance during the very first drop.
I find this watch exceptional, the Miyota inside is well adjusted, the finishes on the hands and the applied logo are remarkable. I love the brushed case. But what, for me, makes this watch so charming is its lapis lazuli dial. In the sun it is of an unprecedented beauty, which I never cease to admire. The rice grain bracelet is particularly comfortable. If I had to find a negative point to this watch it would be the reading of the time, which is not very precise given that the dial does not have indexes, but I bought it knowingly and the beauty of this dial is well worth not knowing if it is 16:18 or 16:17.
I greatly appreciate the fact of telling myself that it is a particularly rare watch and that I am not likely to find someone with the same as me. And even more the fact of telling myself that I am wearing the watch of a man who spends his days cutting down trees in this beautiful setting that is Alaska, and his nights making watches in his small workshop.

Uncommon watch

This watch was part of the collection of the late Joël Duval, founder of forum à montres. It was put up for sale at an Omega auction. When I saw the auction catalogue I immediately spotted this watch. It no longer worked but I didn't care. A silver cushion case, a magnificent enamel dial, radium hands, and above all a watch from 1916, which after a visit to the watchmaker set off again for a tour of several decades on my wrist! This watch has certainly experienced the war, and a whole bunch of other happier moments, I am delighted to have it in my collection, and to pay tribute to Joël Duval whose wish was to perpetuate this passion for watchmaking common to all of us.

A relatively simple and refined design, three hands, applied indexes, a patinated champagne dial/a little pitted in places and a nice gold plating, the recipe for happiness for me. All made by a historic brand like Doxa, it's frankly fascinating. I don't know the year of the watch but the movement (automatic) is in impeccable condition with a formidable precision of 5 seconds of drift per day!

Magnificent Buren with a rose gold plating, a crazy micro rotor movement patented by Buren, applied indexes that give a crazy charm, a contained diameter that I love, and what can I say about this patinated dial. My favorite watch in my collection and by far, I find everything I love in this watch: the history, the innovation, the design, and especially the emotion! Really too bad this brand no longer exists today...

My Hamilton Khaki Action Sport automatic, 40 mm, from 2005 is in new condition. It is a watch that I am very attached to. I put a suede leather strap on it that suits it very well. The removable crown protector gives it originality. The matte case plays into its discretion. I like it very much.

My Hamilton khaki field GMT watch that I bought about ten years ago has followed me on so many adventures and trips that it is the ultimate watch for the adventurer, waterproof 200 meters GMT. I don't wear it much anymore, but when I take it out again, it brings back a sense of nostalgia, I still love it as much.

I present to you my bronze khaki field watch, which I've loved wearing regularly for the past four years.
I bought this watch when it came out. I was going to buy a classic machine-made steel khaki, and it came out. It was a real favorite.

I like:
- the patina of the bronze and the vintage feel of the model
- the proportions: 38mm, 10mm thick
- the mechanical winding
- the readability of the dial and the painted indexes
- 80-hour power reserve

I recommend this model and Hamilton without reservation. I can't find any flaws in it based on my use and expectations, but here are a few points to watch out for:
- 50m water resistance, yes, you won't be able to swim with sharks with it... but you can wash dishes, take a shower, or even go swimming.
- The bronze patinas very quickly and unevenly; you have to like the raw quality of the material.

In short, it ticks all the boxes for me;
- A watch with character but remains discreet for everyday use.
- A vintage look with modern robustness.

Field Watch bronze 

Hamilton Khaki field mechanical in 38 mm. I had the beige strap mounted on it, it did not suit me, lack of comfort. I opted for a 2-piece nato which changed everything. The watch itself exudes robustness when I wind it. No play in the crown. With good autonomy, more than 3 days for sure. Simple and nice purchase.

A nice mechanism

I opted for this Field Watch because it is in the ranking of Field Watches in a very good place with the IWC Pilot Mark XVIII. I chose the 40 mm diameter because I am visually impaired. For the bracelet side I had a custom-made bracelet made by Jaeger-Lecoultre in the color of the dial and white stitching to recall the dial which gives a Full Black style it is the same bracelet that is on the Polaris one of my favorite watches that I will have one day
