When I first saw it, I was instantly captivated. Having missed out on the first version, I jumped at the chance when the second one came out, featuring its discreetly signed logo in transparent lacquer and an improved movement.
How could anyone remain indifferent to this Matrix Green dial, whose nuances and reflections shift between olive green and anthracite depending on the light?! A hypnotic and fascinating watch with a cushion-shaped case boasting harmonious lines, and whose integrated bracelet gives an almost organic impression of lightness. The Moser finishing is also remarkable, with the openworked rotor offering an unobstructed view of the mechanism and the 18-karat gold oscillating weight. A sporty-chic watch that I adore and don't regret at all. Minimalist yet bold, it perfectly embodies the H. Moser manufacture, which I greatly admire.

A model I knew and appreciated, but a seed was planted in my mind after watching the episode of "Small Watches Among Friends" with Boris. One of the best videos on the channel, in my opinion. His journey and quest awakened a new desire in me: to acquire this magnificent German diver's watch. From then on, I delved into the subject just like him. A 39.5mm with 20 bar water resistance and a robust, reliable movement. After wearing watches that were a bit too recognizable, I wanted to move towards a more discreet yet more assertive model. After watching the Showtime series "Let the Right One In," where the lead actor wore a Field watch that resembled the Hamilton Khaki Field, I wanted to get a watch of that type. The latter was attractive, but on the wrist, I found it too lightweight and outdated. I did some serious research and came across the Spitfire, and that was it. A historic watch that celebrates the RAF's single-seat fighter plane during World War II, housed in a 39mm case with a black dial, rhodium-plated hands, and a green textile strap. Not to mention the IWC-manufactured caliber 32110 with a 72-hour power reserve and a soft iron cage that protects against magnetic fields. Legible and compact, the Spitfire is in the same league as the Mark.

Simple, efficient, discreet and historic

For my 35th birthday, I wanted to get off the beaten track and acquire a watch that is not "mainstream". I wanted it to be different, more exclusive, more spicy, less recognizable, but to have a very specific identity. What a magnificent cardan with this Blue Artic Fumé. Having a chicken wrist, I immediately validated the diameter of 40 MM instead of the usual 42MM. Happy with this beautiful acquisition which hypnotizes me every time I wear it, especially in summer with its super pleasant rubber strap.

I started like many (most?) by "hunting for icons," especially Rolex. During lockdown, I was able to take the time to dig a little deeper, especially since the content offering exploded at that time. I came across an interview with Édouard Meylan that absolutely captivated me. I took a look at Moser's work; the time hadn't come yet, but I knew "that one day I would take the plunge." I procrastinated too much when the micro-rotor version of the Streamliner came out, and I still regret it. So the day this Purple Haze version was announced, I contacted the brand to secure a copy.
The watch is truly up to par with my expectations; for me, in terms of quality, it's somewhere between a high-end IWC and an Audemars Piguet. The integrated bracelet recalls references from the 70's from Omega and Ebel but nevertheless has a certain originality in the current production landscape, its strong point is its wearing comfort which is clearly at an infinitely higher level than the Royal Oak or Oysterquartz Daydate that I also have, its defect is its butterfly buckle which has a very generic appearance which contrasts with the rest of the piece, not too important because invisible once closed. The case neither round nor square also gives off a real originality, and if it is obviously produced by machines the presence of certain finishes carried out by a human operator (the grooves on the edge) completes the impression of a very high-end, its only defect for me is to be a tad wide, once on the wrist it is at the limit of what my tastes judge "harmonious". The smoked dial, a Moser signature, is really really nice with a color that goes from black to ultraviolet depending on the light at the moment T, the absence of literature on the dial, even the name of the brand is in tone-on-tone relief almost invisible, reinforces its identity, here we are on the best of "less is more". We finish with the movement, whose aesthetics have undergone a small facelift from this piece, finishes certainly industrial but carried out with taste and excellent craftsmanship, an in-house movement with a clean aesthetic worthy of a high-end independent brand, if I have to point out a flaw it is the sound of the rotor which for the moment is not at the level of this aesthetic. I'll finish with the really top-notch customer experience, which is something very important when you choose an independent brand, I think, with VIP invitations to watch fairs and to the factory and even a meeting with Édouard Meylan, a sales manager who remembers you when you meet him by chance and who calls you by your first name, in short, a sum of little details that make you feel really privileged. Even the after-sales service, I had a problem with the power reserve, was responsive, fast and efficient with an apology message as a bonus.
