Gustave & cie Paul 24H Owner Review : Poetic, inspired and unusual

Like the famous silver arrows, well-known in the automotive world, the single hand of this timepiece shines brightly. This is particularly highlighted by the aventurine dial, which is itself a portable hall of mirrors, due to its ability to play with the sun. Furthermore, the numerals on the dial are reminiscent of those of Breguet, while those on the railway are reminiscent of a Hermès Arceau. The poetic character of this watch, named after Paul Eluard, is further reinforced by the decoration of the oscillating weight, on which verses by the poet are inscribed. Reading the time is not easy because, in addition to being a single-hand model, it is a 24-hour model. The railway is therefore only accurate to within ten minutes! That said, this timepiece aims to be the antithesis of chronometry. The only real downside for me is the original bracelet, which is very pretty, but ridiculously small: woe betide big wrists!
