Grand Seiko 62GS Owner Review : Discreet, beautiful and subtle

I bought this watch in 2023 at the Vendôme boutique (excellent service, by the way, and a very beautiful store). The watch, and Grand Seiko's production in general, is incredible. Their dials are simply sublime: you have to hold them to truly appreciate them. The movements are equally impressive. The 5 Hz frequency, while not necessarily offering greater precision in everyday use, demonstrates genuine craftsmanship and is justified in itself by the captivating fluidity of the sweeping seconds hand. It is not, however, without its minor flaws. The case, due to the prominent Zaratsu polishing, marks and scratches quite easily. I only wear it for a few weeks a year, taking care, and I have nevertheless noticed a few micro-scratches—nothing serious, though. The other drawback concerns the bracelet: while it's attractive and of good quality, it lacks micro-adjustments, and I would have preferred a 20/16 drop rather than the 20/18. On this point, the competition does better. It's not perfect, nor is it for everyone. But its strengths far outweigh its weaknesses.
