I discovered that Chopard made watches thanks to their partnership with Porsche endurance racing at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. I fell in love with it as soon as I put it on my wrist: the rubber strap that fits perfectly into the case (it still smells of vanilla), the excellent anti-reflective coating on the glass, and the multitude of automotive-related details all contributed to my choice of this watch.
I like to change the strap in winter for a black buffalo leather strap, which gives the watch a more dressy look!
I still enjoy wearing this watch, more than eight years after purchasing it.

My 21st birthday watch

This Seiko is my first diving watch: preferring chronographs, I wanted to try a new type of watch without taking too many risks. I bought this watch because it is a reference for affordable diving watches. I learned to appreciate it over the years, because like all simple watches, it takes a little time to realize all the details: chamfer along the case, beveled glass, and dial that takes the light very well. Even if I don't wear it often anymore, I enjoy it every time I put it on my wrist (especially in the summer at the beach)

My first diver

This watch belonged to my father for over 30 years. It is at the origin of many of my tastes: chronograph, dial full of information, sporty... I really like the reflections of the blue dial, the "complicated" design of the dial, and the white flange which gives it a lot of depth. The patinated indexes also give a lot of charm to the watch! Beyond finding it very beautiful, it has a very important sentimental value in my eyes. It is the oldest watch in my collection and the only Quartz! It therefore occupies a special place there and it is a real pleasure every time I wear it.

My heritage watch

This Tudor deserves to be known: under a very simple first glance, we quickly realize the high quality of the watch's production. The white indexes stand out perfectly on the sandblasted black dial. The alternation of polished / brushed finishes, as well as the chamfer (which runs the entire length of the case) give it a crazy charm. The movement is also very precise (+3 seconds/day)
It also has good diving capabilities: I even used it during my first scuba diving in Corsica! The only point that suits me less is the thickness of the case...

A vintage design with timeless charm

Looking for a watch for my 25th birthday, I crossed the threshold of the Seiko boutique in Paris to try on watches. Being very attracted by the shape of the Seiko Turtle case, I tried on several versions: I had a real crush when I put this model on my wrist, which contains all the characteristics of a great Seiko model. The textured gray dial, its "patina" indexes and its green woven strap completely blew me away. From a technical point of view, it is also very reliable and accompanied me during a scuba dive: the readability of the indexes and the clicking of the bezel are excellent. The only flaw: the precision of the movement, which is not always top-notch. I really enjoy wearing it!

Seiko Turtle : la plus Seiko des Seiko

A circle is a square, a square is a circle. No, it wasn't Arielle Dombasle who bewitched me, but my Tag Heuer Monaco! I fell under the spell of this watch thanks to its atypical design: a thick square case, a prominent sapphire crystal and a petrol blue dial that is recognizable among thousands. Its case is very angular, which makes it quite fragile: it easily takes impacts. Being quite recognizable (maybe ostentatious?), I only wear this watch on weekends or on vacation. So I really enjoy wearing it because I know that good times are to come! I also learned a lot about the history of watchmaking by studying the birth of the Tag Heuer Monaco, which is a marker of its time. It's a joy to have it in my collection!
