The Farina Automatic Indigo Haze is a watch that focuses strongly on presence, mass and a cohesive integrated design. It is not a subtle piece and it does not try to be one. Instead, it delivers a bold case, a solid bracelet and a modern aesthetic that reflects the design language the brand has become known for. Specifications Model Farina Automatic Indigo Haze Case diameter 44 millimeters Lug to lug distance 53 millimeters Case thickness relatively thick profile Case material stainless steel Crystal sapphire crystal Water resistance 100 meters Crown screw down crown Bezel unidirectional rotating bezel Dial sandwich style dial with cut out indices Movement automatic movement - Seiko NH35A Bracelet integrated stainless steel bracelet Clasp folding clasp Caseback solid caseback The first impression of the Farina Automatic Indigo Haze is dominated by its size and weight. With a case diameter of forty four millimeters and a lug to lug distance of fifty three millimeters, this is clearly a large watch. It has real wrist presence and will naturally suit medium to larger wrists better. Wrists above seventeen centimeters will likely feel most at home with this watch. That said, the integrated bracelet plays an important role in wearability. Because the bracelet flows directly out of the case, there are no protruding lugs. This allows the watch to sit closer to the wrist and makes it possible to wear even on slightly smaller wrists, depending on personal taste. Visually however, the watch tends to look more balanced on larger wrists. The case itself is thick and solid, which reinforces the impression of a robust and substantial watch. This is not a slim or elegant piece and should not be approached as such. Instead it feels purposeful and sturdy. The screw down crown contributes to this impression and together with the one hundred meters of water resistance, the watch feels well prepared for everyday use. One of the highlights is the bracelet and clasp combination. The integrated stainless steel bracelet is well finished, nicely executed and relatively thick, which suits the overall mass of the watch very well. It feels like a natural extension of the case rather than a separate component. The finishing complements the case nicely and helps the entire watch feel like a single design unit. The clasp is especially noteworthy. Instead of using a standard double clasp system, Farina opted for a folding clasp with a more refined and slightly different closing mechanism. It feels solid, secure and well engineered, and it adds a touch of individuality that many integrated bracelet watches lack. The bezel is unidirectional and operates with a firm and satisfying click. It feels grippy and well controlled and the sound and feedback are reassuring. This adds to the overall sense of quality and shows that attention was paid to tactile elements, not just visual ones. The dial design is another strong point. It uses a sandwich style construction where the indices are cut out of the upper layer, allowing the luminous material on the lower layer to shine through. This gives the dial depth and character and works especially well with the Indigo Haze colorway. The result is a modern and technical look that still remains clean and readable. In terms of brand identity, the Farina reflects the modern design driven approach the brand stands for. Farina positions itself as a brand that blends contemporary aesthetics with solid construction and bold proportions. This watch clearly follows that philosophy. The integrated design language, the strong case shape and the attention to details like the clasp and dial construction all reinforce that identity. It feels intentional and coherent rather than generic. From a quality standpoint, the watch delivers what it promises for its price category. The materials feel solid, the finishing is good and the overall execution is convincing. This is not a watch meant to compete with significantly more expensive pieces, but within its segment it offers strong value and a distinctive look. In summary, the Farina Automatic Indigo Haze is a bold and modern watch with a strong integrated design. It is best suited for those who enjoy larger, heavier watches and want something that feels substantial on the wrist. Thanks to the integrated bracelet it remains wearable for a wider range of wrists, but visually it shines most on larger ones. With its solid build, interesting clasp design, well executed bracelet and layered dial, it offers a lot of character and good quality for the money.
