An ONHI is an unidentified flying object.. and nothing is more appropriate to describe this UN Freak. The 1st generation of Freak is 20 years old, but looking at it, you'd think it came out yesterday. A hell of a look and a tourbillon function (more or less) it's unique. Let's start with the design of the beast. The balance is attached to the minute hand, so it turns in 60 minutes around the dial, same purpose as a tourbillon (said that this one does it in 60 seconds). No idea of the impact on chronometry, I've never measured its precision and honestly I doubt we'll gain much.. but damn it's beautiful and hypnotizing. Reading the time isn't always super easy, but in 2 seconds you can spot the hands and it's done. The titanium makes it incredibly comfortable to wear. Despite its 43mm size, it sits well on a small wrist. Technology-wise, the Freak was the first watch to use silicon on the escapement and regulation organs, the same here on this Freak X. It took me a while to succumb to this UN. It is clearly not a watch with which one begins a collection. But in terms of technology, look, versatility, comfort and rarity, it is a must-have. The X is quite well placed in price, compared to other Swiss tourbillons already, and compared to its sister One which costs much more (but with an even more crazy design and all the cogs on the dial side). From a fun curiosity object in the window, it has become an icon in my eyes and on my wrist and I love it, it is a real favorite.

Freak X: Un OHNI !!

I immediately loved the MoonSwatch. I liked this unnatural association. I quickly became disillusioned with the stupid madness and speculation surrounding this piece of plastic. Now that the situation has become more or less healthy, I fell for the Mission to Moon which comes to sleep in the watch box next to the "real" Speedmasters. The resemblance is obvious and the style is cool. On the other hand, the quality is deplorable. The strap seems to be made of silk because it deteriorates so quickly and the plastic case, sorry, bio ceramic, is light and cheap as hell. Not to mention the pushers, you wonder if the thing is not going to fall apart after 2 manipulations. In short, it's hype, it's funny, it's fun, but it's so badly made. At this price it's shameful and disrespectful to customers. Oh yes, plus it's not comfortable to wear, the bracelet is tight, itchy, impossible to put on properly... in short, something that doesn't cost 250chf but is essential in a collection.

You marketing

a very nice watch with a very Audemars Piguet design but without being a plagiarism since the model has existed since the 80s. A pretty dial a bit like tapestry, a date, 3 hands and an integrated steel bracelet.. for 650chf.. who can do better? I like the serious finish of the watch and its blue dial which sends out lots of reflections. I like the side of a sports watch which does not risk much and which is pretty. So obviously the finish is far from that of its big sister from Le Brassus, some angles are rough from CNC, the movement is basic but hey, you get what you pay for. the so-called easy system for changing the bracelet is not the strong point of the watch. you need nimble fingers, a screwdriver, a chair, patience, calm.. and good eyes. too bad it is so painful because the beauty jumps from a leather bracelet to steel to rubber in all relaxation. I wear it often, mainly when security (Paris) does not allow me to enjoy other so-called more prestigious watches in peace. But it is a real treat and a joy to wear it on my wrist. The next one will be with the ice blue dial.

A very attractive watch, well finished for a small budget

I have owned the BND for 2 years and it is my ideal "toolwatch"/holiday watch. It is very comfortable, waterproof (even if it does not have a screw-down crown) and robust so comfortable in all conditions. It comes with 2 very good quality NATO straps. What I like above all is its dial (here the brown one) which varies depending on the light, turning from chocolate brown to slightly faded vintage in a turn of the wrist. We have a watch with a retro look, even vintage with the tritium-look indexes but with the robustness of a modern one and the ease of maintenance/repair in the event of a problem. The price is quite reasonable for the quality of the watch, made in France (we could say that it is a very good French alternative to the iconic Seiko 5, which is a compliment). Vincent, the creator, is very nice and super responsive by email. A real pleasure to go through these small confidential brands. No fuss, no pompous marketing, a great watch with multiple qualities and a very good price. The 2nd generation of BND watches further strengthens the qualities of the watch with a screw-down crown and other improvements.

A very high quality, robust and super sexy watch

The AstroLuna is an extraterrestrial watch. In terms of complications, its 2 globes (in titanium, hand-painted and moon covered with luminova) are unprecedented at this price level and take you on a journey both on Earth (Where in the world is the sun at its zenith??) and on the moon. The aventurine dial shines brightly. I chose the "contemporary" case to bring even more personality and character to the watch. Finally, the back is sublime with a reminder of the aventurine. I can only recommend the gold rotor which brings a touch of color and exclusivity to the watch. A watch that I wear daily, that I love and that gets noticed in the positive sense of the term, everyone admires it and wants to know more. and the buying experience with Vincent, the creator, is part of the charm of buying an independent watch, there is a strong human experience in it, in short. a really great watch, rare, exclusive but not showy or pretentious, a lot of poetry and details in the design, a real success, a key watch in my collection

A watch made with passion by a very friendly creator, it goes with all classic or casual styles. Very beautiful finishes with perfect case machining, a domed plastic glass reminiscent of the greatest divers. Steve Mcqueen could have worn it on his wrist!

I hadn't taken the plunge during the first series and regretted it a little. Then, I learned through social networks that a new version, even more accomplished, was distributed among others by the Clouzeau jeweler... and I cracked! Mainly wearing large diameter watches (rarely under 42 mm), I find this "small" BND perfectly proportioned, sitting perfectly on my wrist, very present and hyper qualitative. For a very reasonable price, we access an astonishing level of finish. And the harmony of the lum of the indexes and the bezel marries wonderfully with the 3 chosen dial colors. In a pure vintage style... An essential watch (anyway, aren't they all???) and to wear in all circumstances, without worry, as it seems so solid and foolproof! Or how to treat yourself at a very low price...

New and happy owner of this brown BND, I am under the spell of this sporty / chic diver.
Its contained 39mm frame falls perfectly on my wrist. It combines all the assets of a toolwatch.
After several attempts at bracelet combinations, the choice is difficult as everything suits it!
In short, you will have understood, this BND is amazing. So don't wait any longer: Go for it with your eyes closed....

Heart stroke!

Nice design, top quality manufacturing, plexi glass as we like, waterproof and an endearing founder, a versatility in terms of the color of the dial which changes depending on the light and the bracelet which gives it a completely different personality. The modern vintage side is endearing as is the community of owners in a price range perfectly suited to an independent French design.

I discovered this model through a friend during the Kickstarter campaign: I was instantly captivated by this watch with its vintage look but all the advantages of a brand new one.

The dial is ultra-legible and understated, and the bezel and indices feature highly effective Luminova, even at night and while diving.
