Derived from a Rotary Engine design
Those familiar with the Toyota RX8 will recognize the distinctive movement. This Behrens Rotary is certainly unique. Powered by an ETA-2824-2, it sits somewhere between Asia and the West. Behrens has paid close attention to the design and the 3D effect it creates. A rotor for the hours and another for the minutes, along with a date window at 9 o'clock, complete this beautiful ensemble. The concave lugs and the plaque on the case at 9 o'clock add a touch of elegance. It's one of my favorites in my humble collection. It just goes to show that Asia can produce original timepieces with true expertise.
