My memories of Australia and Manly Beach with my family in the summer of 2023 resurface on my wrist: harsh light, crystal-clear waters, beaches, and endless roads... but Australia isn't just about sand and waves. It's also about casual elegance, positive energy, and practicality that shines through in every design choice of this watch. The Bausele Elemental Inferno Black extends the brand's DNA—a watchmaking at the intersection of Australian lifestyle and Swiss reliability—and refines it: a new case, new hands, steel bracelet, redesigned dial... a watch co-created with the brand's community... to go beyond the confines of Australia... This Bausele Elemental embodies the "Australian way of life": cool vibes, a sporty and relaxed atmosphere... but demanding. ▶️ A sporty-chic case with a sophisticated geometry: 40 mm in diameter, 11.9 mm thick, 46.5 mm lug-to-lug: on the wrist, the presence is bold yet balanced. The 316L steel combines brushed and mirror-polished steel for a more chic look than previous generations—exactly what the range was missing: an extra touch of elegance without losing its utilitarian dimension. The 200 m water resistance anchors the watch in reality: an everyday sports watch, not a simple style exercise. Note the effect of the double bezel, which adds depth without being overly cluttered and adds a simple way to read a second time zone. ▶️ A design dictated by readability: The Elemental's design aims for clarity and clarity: flat sapphire crystal (easier to read, no magnifying effect), dial with a "sand" textured base, and a presentation that creates a feeling of depth "through the water." A choice that bucks the neo-vintage trend of highly curved lenses, and perfectly reflects the spirit of the piece: to show off without distorting. ▶️ A lived-in "Inferno Black" dial. Deep black—with the Back in Black riff in mind—but vibrant: the sand texture captures the light like a beach at sunset. The Super-LumiNova luminescence on the hands and indexes ensures effortless reading, day and night. This contrast between brute force and delicate execution (finishes, proportions) embodies what can simply be called "sport-chic," Australian style. ▶️ A crown that holds a secret. A Bausele signature from the beginning: the crown holds sand, symbolizing a piece of Australia taken with you. The brand has historically communicated through the sands of Manly Beach in Sydney—a reference that resonates deeply with me—and some recent series also evoke volcanic sands, such as Elephant Rock near Brisbane for this Inferno Black. The idea remains the same: a fragment of landscape, tangible and emotional, within the watch. A new illustration that a watch is perhaps, and above all, a message… ▶️ A serious movement for the race of time. The Elemental incorporates the Swiss Sellita SW200, self-winding with a stop-seconds hand and a 38-hour power reserve. A proven, reliable, and easy-to-maintain choice—the right gearbox for seamlessly navigating miles of time zones. It's the rational foundation that empowers emotion. It's also a sign of continuity for Bausele, who embraces the sports analogy: "You don't change a winning team." ▶️ A steel bracelet for the first time The watch comes with a steel bracelet, very much in keeping with the more chic orientation of this Elemental. A fine adjustment allows the watch to be adjusted to any time of day, for great, very Australian versatility! In the morning, running along the beach, and in the evening, watching the sunset with a local beer. We're eagerly awaiting a rubber strap in the same color as the dial, so we can rock out even more casually to the sounds of Australian hits like INXS, Midnight Oil, or Kylie Minogue, depending on your tastes... ▶️ A watch for lovers of casual elegance The Elemental combines what I expect from a Bausele: a strong DNA (sand crown, Australian spirit), house style (presence on the wrist, understated and effective palette), but with a real qualitative leap: more accomplished finishes, a more controlled brushed/polished alternation, and enhanced readability thanks to the flat sapphire crystal. An Australian watch that knows how to be chic without being sycophantic, with a boomerang that always returns to the essential: function. We think of beaches and surfing, of course, but also cricket, rugby, the red roads of the outback, the koala sleeping while your second friend drives straight ahead... The Elemental doesn't caricature Australia: it offers a sensitive synthesis of it. Yes, "cool and relaxed," but clear in its intentions... ▶️ Priced at $750 on the brand's website, delivery is free via express international shipping in 5 to 7 days. The Bausele Elemental Inferno Black is a chic, hybrid sports watch in the best sense of the word: raw in its energy, delicate in its finishes. It ticks all the boxes for what we imagine of Australia—the sea, the light, the sand—but not limited to them. And if you hear AC/DC while looking at it, it might already have found its soundtrack. 😎 My "Mood Board" with this Bausele Elemental Inferno Black: Movie: Mad Max Fury Road (2015) Music: Back in Black (AC/DC) Location: Manly Beach (Australia) All the technical specifications below or on the brand's website.
